A word frequency counter lists every distinct word in a piece of text alongside how many times it appears, ranked from most to least common. Keyword density is each word's share of the total: a word used 6 times in 300 words has a density of 2%. This tool tokenizes on runs of letters, digits, and apostrophes, so it works across languages, keeps contractions like don't as one word, and splits hyphenated terms into their parts. You can ignore case, hide 76 common English stop words, and drop words below a minimum length. Density is always calculated against the full word count before filtering, so the percentages stay comparable when stop words are hidden. Results sort by count, then alphabetically, with a relative bar for each word. Because density is always measured against every word in the text, including the stop words you have hidden. That keeps each word's percentage stable whether the filter is on or off, so the visible rows will sum to less than 100% when common words are excluded.
