Create and download a QR code for any link or text.
Updated
Create a QR code for any link, text, or message and download it as a PNG. Customize the colors and size. A free account saves up to ten codes and unlocks more settings; logos, dynamic codes, and scan analytics are Pro features.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
A QR code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores text as a grid of dark and light squares that any phone camera can read. This generator encodes whatever you type and draws the result on a canvas in your browser, so nothing is sent to a server. You can set the foreground and background colors and choose an output size from 128 to 1024 pixels, then download a PNG. Error correction is fixed at level M, meaning the code still scans with up to 15 percent of it damaged or covered, and a two-module quiet zone is kept around the edge so readers can find it. The code is static: it points wherever the text says. A free OhoTool account adds a choice of error-correction level, a transparent background, multiline content, and saving up to ten codes. Logos, custom shapes, SVG and PDF export, and dynamic codes you can re-point after printing with scan analytics are part of Pro.
Yes — the PNG is free for personal and commercial use, and static QR codes never expire.
Not with a standard code, which permanently encodes the text you typed. A dynamic QR code instead encodes a short OhoTool link that redirects to a destination you can change at any time, and it records each scan. Dynamic codes and scan analytics are OhoTool Pro features.
